“The biggest comeback since Indira Gandhi,” is how The Economist blog described the return of NR Narayana Murthy (NRN) to executive leadership of Infosys Limited. This surprising hyperbole from a publication that revels in cutting people down to size only explains the pedestal on which Infosys has been placed by people all over. In 2002, Forbes magazine had called Infosys “a model of transparency, not just for the rest of corporate India but for companies everywhere.” So, how does NRN’s return fit into this image?
