Parle-G plans to reach additional 1,000 villages by March

Parle G, the most visible glucose biscuit brand in India, is planning to cater to additional 1,000 villages by March next year. Currently Parle G is available in about 2,500 villages across the country.
 
“We are trying to penetrate the rural market as much as possible. Rural distribution is the next thing that we are seriously looking at as we want to increase our rural penetration,” said Mayank Shah, group product manager, Parle Products Pvt Ltd.
 
This glucose biscuit company which is growing at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12%- 20% since last three years expects its business to grow by a CAGR of 15% over the next five years, Shah added.
 
Shah further said that Parle Products had rolled out eight new products in the past one year and is looking forward at consolidating the brands in next one to two years rather than launching new brands.
